TOEFL

           Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL (/ˈtoʊfəl/, TOH-fəl) is a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in U.S. universities. The test is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions. TOEFL is one of the two major English-language tests in the world, the other being the IELTS.

TOEFL is a trademark of ETS (Educational Testing Service), a private non-profit organization, which designs and administers the tests. The scores are valid for 2 years; then they are no longer reported

The TOEFL test is divided into four different sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing. The TOEFL is primarily the American version of this test.

• Reading: Lasting 60-80 minutes and consisting of 36-56 questions, the reading portion of the TOEFL exam requires you to read 3-4 passages from a specific text and then answer questions about the text. These texts are usually not very complicated and don’t require knowledge of very difficult vocabulary words.
• Listening: Lasting 60-90 minutes and consisting of 34-51 questions, the listening portion of the exam requires you to listen to anything from classroom lectures to casual conversations. Once listening to the audio, you must answer questions about what you just heard. The conversations are spoken in a standard American accent.
• Speaking: The speaking portion of the test lasts 20 minutes and you must speak about six different topics. These topics may include information from previous sections, or may require you to speak about an opinion you have on a familiar topic. During this section, you’ll speak into a microphone which will record your responses.
• Writing: This is the last 50 minutes of the test that always seems the most frightening. That blank page in front of you can look intimidating, but there’s no reason to worry! You’re not expected to write an award winning novel, you’ll simply need to write two responses based on either an opinion question or information you learned in the previous sections.

Function

Toefl test has academic and general purpose. TOEFL academic goals are for educational purposes, research, or anything related to ka-an-academic in the country and in the nation. Standard scores or TOEFL scores for academic purposes ranging from a score of 500 for stratum 1 (S1) and 550 for TOEFL post sarjan.Sedangkan general purpose is for promotion, or to get a job. Common standards applied enterprise value is 500 for promotion.

       My name is Nur Aida. I am a girl who was born in bogor  on 3th march 1994. I am the second child of Jamsur and Romlah. My father was a self-employed and my mother was a house wife.  I have two brother. I have a younger sister named is nurul pratiwi and i have a brother named is nurdiansyah.I live in cileungsi-bogor.

       I started to study in elementary school named is SD BPS&K. Then i continued study at junior high school named is SMP JONGGOL 1. And continue to high  school in SMK BPS&K accounting major. After i finish study in high school i continue to study in university of education UNIVERSITAS GUNADARMA in ekonomi faculty of accounting.

        My hobby is playing game and counting that’s why i majored in accounting.
